The data set is divided into measurements of radionuclides in seawater, sediment, marine animals (mostly fish) and seaweed. Most of the samples have been analyzed for cesium-137, as well as some other radionuclides measured in seawater, such as technetium-99, strontium-90, plutonium-238 and plutonium-239,240, americium-241 and polonium-210. Technetium-99 measurements in seaweed is also provided. Salinity has been reported for some of the seawater samples. The seawater samples are surface water (the surface or a few meters below), the sediments are surface sediments. 2 sigma uncertainties are given, in the same units as the measurements.
