The lake database from the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate includes (dot) information linked with all lakes larger than 2500 m2 with associated national serial numbers, **vatn_lnr**. This database includes data for approx. 243,000 lakes. Attribute data is made up of information such as watercourse no., hydroelectric power reservoir no., name hierarchy and municipality no.
