Quality of map
The latest IMR map (2014.01.17) is regarded as good for the southern and western North Sea and is based, in part, on information in Loots et al. (2010), Rijnsdorp (1989), and Ellis et al. (2012). There is limited published information on the spawning areas in the northern North Sea except for that in ICES-PGEGGS (2005) and ICES-WGEGGS (2010). Definition of spawning time is based on Russel (1976) and Munk and Nielsen (2005)

Havforskningsinstituttet sitt gytekart “2014.01.07” vurderes som bra for den sørlige og vestlige delen av Nordsjøen, og baserer seg blant annet på Loots et al. (2010), Rijnsdorp (1989), og Ellis et al. (2012). Det finnes lite publisert informasjon om gyteområdene i den nordlige del av Nordsjøen, med unntak av to rapporter; ICES-PGEGGS (2005) og ICES-WGEGGS (2010).
