  • Karttjenesten viser teoretisk beregnet dekningsområde for nødnett ved bruk av håndholdt radioterminal

  • Modelled biotopes on the Mid-Norwegian Shelf. Seven biotopes have been identified in the area through the use of multivariate statistics, based on bathymetry, geology and dominating fauna.

  • Modelled biotopes in the NordlandVI area. MAREANO video data were to determine the biological communities and this information was put together with bathymetry, terrain and geological data to model the overall distribution of biotopes. Nine biotopes have been identified in the area through the use of multivariate statistics.

  • Depth contours and detailed shaded relief images of submarine landscapes with indication of depth. Different grid sizes available for different areas (50m, 10m and 2m)

  • This WMS map layer shows selected areas from the dataset "Seabed sediments (grain size), detailed" and indicates where fine sediments are likely to accumulate due to weak bottom currents. Such areas are typically dominated by silty and/or clayey and may include areas with fine-grained sediment deposited on top of coarser material. The map layer is intended for use at map scales 1:10 000 – 1:50 000.

  • Terminal moraines (ice marginal deposits) in Norwegian fjords and coastal areas are mapped because of their importance to organisms living on or above the seabed. Terminal moraines are interpreted based on available detailed bathymetry data.

  • The map service presents a number of thematic layers derived from detailed basis information about the seabed: depth and sediment composition. The following themes are visualized: Bathymetry (terrain), Slope, Anchoring, Diggability, Accumulation basins and Habitats.

  • Marine Nature Types. Results from mapping and modelling of marine habitats, as well as some particular nature types in Norwegian marine areas. The map service shows the distribution of marine Biotopes, Shell sand deposits and Terminal moraines. The biotope maps are made in cooperation by NGU and IMR in frame of the MAREANO programme based on numerous physical, geological and biological parameters. Biotope maps along the coast are products of other projects. Maps of shell sand deposits along the coast are based on mapping (resource maps), and mapping/modelleling (shell sand as a nature type on the seabed). Maps of shell sand as a nature type are made in cooperation between NGU and NIVA in frame of the National Programme for Mapping of Marine Biological Diversity, led by the Norwegian Environment Agency and the Directorate of Fisheries. Also terminal moraines on the seabed, which are considered to constitute a special bottom type for fauna and flora, are mapped in the frame of this programme.

  • Modelled biotopes on the TromsII/NordlandVII area. Analyses of species counts from 222 video transects has allowed to identify ten different biotopes in Troms II/ Nordland VII area. Geological, morphological and oceanographic variables have been used for spatial prediction of the distribution of biotopes across area.
