The data set originates from 10 years' average values (2013-2022) of current direction and speed at the surface, respectively, in the water masses (intervals for 5m, 15m, 30m, 50m, 100m, 150m, 200m and 250m), as well as at the seabed. The distance from the seabed with the current model setup ranges from a few cm in shallow water and up to 1.5m when the total depth is 100m or more. The dataset is available as WMS and WCS services, as well as for download via the Institute of Marine Research's Geoserver https://kart.hi.no/data - select Layer preview and search for the dataset for more download options. The coastal model NorKyst-800 is a calculation model that simulates, among other things, current, salinity and temperature with 800 meter spatial resolution, in several vertical levels and with high resolution in time for the entire Norwegian coast, based on the model system ROMS (Regional Ocean Modeling System, http://myroms.org). NorKyst-800 has been developed by the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research in collaboration with the Meteorological Institute and Niva (https://brage.bibsys.no/xmlui/handle/11250/116053).

The run-off data (isolines) shows run-off in litres/second/km2 based on the normal period 1961 - 1990. The run-off map is an important tool for everyone who needs to calculate mean inflows to appoint in a watercourse. This may be necessary when designing power supply plants, establishing mini and micro power stations, water supply, agricultural irrigation, fish farming, flood protection and road and bridge construction.

River network database established for our watercourses (inc. coastal fields in REGINE). All watercourse elements (rivers, streams, lakes) are converted into lines in ELVIS. These are linked together in a network with a defined direction of flow. All the line segments in ELVIS are assigned a unique national serial numbers/IDs, known as **strekn_lnr**

Database with the dot theme showing mean annual run-off (mm/year) for the period 1961-1990. The data model has a resolution of 1kmx1km. Value uncertainty: ±20%.
-
River network for the main watercourses as defined in REGINE. Attribute data from REGINE is linked to the river network. It is possible to search on river name, hierarchy and Watercourse no. in this theme.
